Mick Foley Spoke To Darby Allin About His Wrestling Style, Says Allin Was Walking ‘A Little Gingerly’ After AEW Blood & Guts

Darby Allin became a topic of conversation during Mick Foley’s media appearance.
Highspots conducted a Sign-it-Live session with Mick Foley, and as the signing went on, Darby Allin was brought up.
Foley confirmed that he did chat with Allin about his wrestling style. Allin thanked Foley, but said he’s continuing as is.
Allin was part of the 2026 AEW men’s Blood & Guts match. After his team lost, Wardlow tossed Allin off the top of the cage and through tables below. Foley stated that Allin was walking a bit gingerly afterward.
“Well, I did (to try to talk to Darby Allin about his wrestling style). I did, and he thanked me for my feedback and told me he was going to continue — I didn’t say stop. I said, ‘You might wanna calm down.’ He’s like, ‘Well, I appreciate you talking to me, Mick. I really do.’” Foley continued, “So somebody asked, ‘I heard you were gonna talk to Darby?’ I did, and he’s gonna keep doing what he does.” He added, “I will tell you, he was walking very — a little gingerly last night.”
In the men’s Blood & Guts match, Allin’s team consisted of Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Steven Borden, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson. They fell in defeat to The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis & Jake Doyle). Fletcher threatened to take a screwdriver to Ospreay’s neck and told a restrained Adam Copeland to surrender, or he’d do it to Ospreay, so Copeland surrendered.
