Mideon Discusses Working As A Chef After Leaving WWE

Mideon (also known as Phineas I. Godwinn) discusses working as a chef after leaving WWE.
In 1996, Mideon signed with WWE. His first gimmick saw him work as part of The Godwinns along with his on-screen brother, Henry O. Godwinn. Over the years, the wrestler worked under several different monikers before being released in 2001. He would then quietly leave the pro-wrestling world behind and become a professional chef.
While speaking on Rewind Recap Relive recently, Mideon discussed working in the culinary world.
“After I left WWE, I did a couple of things, and I was like, ‘I don’t want to go from where I’ve been for the last 18 years to back to this.’ We were in WCW and WWE, so I didn’t like the little places.
I was like, ‘I have this background. My family’s in food and everything like that. I’m just going to give this a shot.’ I found the fanciest restaurant in town. [I] walked in and talked to the chef. I was going to go to cooking school and he said, ‘Just stay here with me and be my slave and I’ll teach you everything.’ He was an instructor at the Le Cordon Bleu Paris. So it worked out great. I worked with Bobby Flay, I worked with Wolfgang [Puck], I worked with Emeril [Lagasse], [inaudible], a bunch of people.”
