Mike Bennett Says He Wants To Face Eddie Kingston And Cope

Mike Bennett wants to face some of AEW's top stars.

Mike Bennett has been signed to AEW since 2022. He and Matt Taven had a run as the ROH World Tag Team Champions. They have not wrestled for AEW/ROH since ROH Final Battle 2024. However, Bennett still has some dream matches in mind.

Speaking on the Adult Conversations podcast, Mike Bennett was asked to name some matches that he wants to have.

“More than anything in the entire world, there’s two people. For singles, it’s Eddie Kingston and Cope. Then tag team, honestly, I think what I would love to do is get back in the ring with The Young Bucks. I feel like me and [Matt] Taven now and then now, we could have such a cool, different dynamic. So that’s one of the matches that I’d love to have right now as a tag team. Honestly, I want to go to Japan with [Matt] Taven. I want to appreciate it more. There’s just something so peaceful about spending the twilight in Japan [laughs], and just being an American lost in Tokyo and figuring it out. I want to do it. That’s my dream," Bennett said.

Kingston has been out of action since May 2024 due to a leg injury that required surgery. The Young Bucks have been absent from AEW programming since October 2024.

Taven and Bennett are set to compete at MLP Mayhe. More information is available here.
