Mike ‘Cash Flo’ Walden Talks Behind-The-Scenes Role In Netflix’s The Wrestlers

Mike “Cash Flo” Walden reflects on the work he put in behind the scenes on Netflix’s ‘The Wrestlers. ‘

Mike Walden portrays the character known as Bigfoot on Tulsa King. However, he was also part of Netflix’s The Wrestlers, the series chronicling OVW behind the scenes.

During an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Mike Walden explained the work he did behind the scenes and how his wrestling work led to a discussion about hardcore wrestling with Sylvester Stallone.

“I put a lot of work in that, speaking to Greg Whiteley and the directors of that show. I put a lot of work into that. I helped those guys a lot. I helped do some maneuvering with some of the younger kids around there. I was a huge part of that, behind the door as well. I did that purposefully because a lot of the guys that were wrestling at OVW at that time, they respected me and they looked up to me as a leader. That really was my first process with Hollywood, seeing the way the cameras work and the way the producers want to be a part of it and stuff like that. So even though there was documentary style and it is nothing like Tulsa King and the action and then the drama and stuff like that, but there’s a lot of cameras around. So it was interesting.

“Yeah, I think Sylvester Stallone has mentioned some stuff to me about bleeding, and we’ve had some long discussions about hardcore wrestling. As far as wrestling goes, all the guys know who I am. It’s an interesting dynamic, especially being on screen with Tyson and some of those guys. It’s an interesting dynamic, Sean.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Walden opened up about getting compliments from Sly Stallone. Read more here.
