Santana also chatted about his latest TNA World Title match.

TNA's Mike Santana ventured over to WWE NXT as Trick Williams is currently in possession of the TNA World Championship.

TNA World Title Match, NXT Heritage Cup Bout Added To 6/24 WWE NXT

It was in the main event of the 6/3 NXT on The CW that Santana challenged Williams for the belt, but he lost after First Cla$$ (A.J. Francis & K.C. Navarro) got involved and assisted Williams to victory.

Looking back on his stretch of NXT appearances, Santana told MuscleManMalcolm that he does not think it was his last time on the program and hopes he made a good impression.

“It was awesome (challenging for TNA World Title on NXT). Great experience and… the entire thing was just amazing and I’m sure it won’t be the last time. Hopefully, I’ve made a great impression and I guess, according to the response it got, right? But, yeah man, like I said, I’m just getting started.”

July 20th is the date of TNA's Slammiversary pay-per-view from UBS Arena in Santana's home state of New York.

When asked where he sees himself on that card, Santana said challenging for the TNA World Championship in the main event and feels he's earned that spot.

“There’s only one place that I wanna be on that (TNA Slammiversary) card in my city, and that’s in the main event. That’s where I wanna be. That’s where -- I’m not gonna say that I deserve to be, because screw deserving. I’ve earned it. I’ve put in the work and I’ve continued to put in the work and that’s where I wanna be, in the main event for the TNA World Title.”

The reigning TNA World Champion Trick Williams is going to be teaming with First Cla$$ on the June 17th NXT. Fightful will have written and audio coverage of the program.
