Mike Santana On Being A Go-To Guy For TNA: They Know This Isn’t Something I Do For A Hobby

Mike Santana loves being a top guy for TNA Wrestling.
Since returning to the company in 2024, Mike Santana has continued to climb the ladder in TNA. This rise culminated in a huge victory at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view in 2025, where Santana defeated Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship.
Just days before he tries to win back the title from Frankie Kazarian, Mike Santana spoke with TV Insider and talked about being a top guy for TNA.
“I feel like I’ve always been one to do my research. I consider myself to be a student of the game. When I came back and told myself I wanted to be that top guy and guy the company trusts to be in numerous different situations and things like that. I’ve looked at guys who have been in my position, even in other companies, where let’s see how they handle it and approach things. Also, taking a bit of myself. I’ve always been comfortable with public speaking.”
Santana went on to talk about how serious he treats his role with the company.
“I’m very understanding of the fact I’m not just representing myself but a brand. That’s important to me. I take my job very seriously. They know this isn’t something I do for a hobby. This is how my daughter eats. This is how I pay my bills. I’ve always taken my job very seriously. But like you said, having that trust from the company itself to be put in these situations and represent the brand is definitely a good feeling. It’s a testament to the hard work I’ve been putting in and representing.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Mike Santana detailed his daughter’s reaction to being featured in a TNA-AMC ad. Fans can check out his full comments by clicking here.
