Mike Santana To Ricky Saints: From Captain To Captain, Respect

Mike Santana shows his respect to Ricky Saints.

On October 7th, WWE NXT Showdown took place, with TNA facing off with WWE’s developmental brand in several matches including men’s and women’s elimination tag team matches. On the men’s side of things, Ricky Saints and Santana would captain their respective teams on the night, with Trick Williams eventually walking out on Team NXT, handing the victory to Team TNA.

In a new social media post on October 8th, Mike Santana would offer his respect to the current NXT Champion, noting that he has the heart of a warrior and is a true champion.

“Respect and props where they’re due. @starkmanjones, you should be proud. You fought your ass off to the very end. With the heart of a warrior and TRUE champion. Wasn’t our first and won’t be our last… From captain to captain. RESPECT.”

Elsewhere at WWE NXT Showdown, the women’s match was refereed by Jordynne Grace who in the aftermath of the match, noted that she was fluent in NIL hire after coming face to face with Jaida Parker. You can read more about that here.
