Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher Abner Uribe Suspended One Game By MLB For DX Crotch Chops
Milwaukee Brewers reliever Abner Uribe struck out St. Louis Cardinals batter Alec Burleson on May 26 and followed up with multiple D-Generation X crotch chops towards the Cardinals’ bench.
Burleson challenged the pitch, but ABS ruled it was a strike, ending the top of the eighth inning with the Brewers leading 6-0.
Major League Baseball didn’t find Uribe’s suggestion to the Cardinals to “suck it” as fun as everyone in the 90s, issuing a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine to the Brewers pitcher.
He is appealing the suspension.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy wasn’t happy with his pitcher after the game, saying, “I don’t know what got over him. I mean, he’s an emotional guy, but that kind of thing, that’s just not how we do things. I’m embarrassed by it. Why are we doing it? It’s a 6-0 game. What are we doing there?”
Uribe apologized but claimed the Cardinals were signaling to intentionally hit batters.
