Miro Praises Toa Liona, Has Been Training With Him And Giving Him Advice

Miro returned to AEW on the premiere episode of AEW Collision, taking care of Tony Nese is short order. The bout marked Miro's first match since AEW All Out 2022.

Miro has been in the business for over a decade, signing with WWE in 2010. Along the way, he's made his fair share of friends.

Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling, Miro was asked who some of his best friends are in the business. First, Miro named Sheamus as his best friend, saying they talk and hang out all the time as they both live in Nashville.

He then named an ROH standout.

"This kid, Toa Liona, he just started recently in AEW. He’s a guy who is hungry, he came and asked me for advice and for help. That was maybe a couple of years ago. Ever since, we have kind of been training together in the gym, in the ring, and I’m trying to show him and share my experience with him. He’s become a really good friend of mine, as well as somebody that I can give some knowledge. If he wants to listen, he does," he said.

Toa is part of Mogul The Embassy alongside Swerve Strickland, Bishop Kaun, & Brian Cage.

Elsewhere during the interview, Miro discussed his absence from AEW before his return on Collision. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
