Miro Jokes That He Will Retire If He Never Becomes AEW World Champion

Miro says if he never becomes AEW World Champion, he will just end his career.

Miro, the former Rusev in WWE, has accomplished many great things. He is a successful Twitch streamer, he is a former WWE United States Champion, he rode into WrestleMania 31 on a tank, he's claimed to have had sex in that tank, and, to date, he is John Cena's last traditional one-on-one opponent at WrestleMania.

One thing that Miro has yet to do in his wrestling career is successfully win a World Heavyweight Championship. While participating in a brief Q&A session on Twitch on Tuesday, January 26, Miro was asked by a fan when, if ever, he would win the All Elite Wrestling World Championship. In response, “The Best Man” revealed, jokingly, that he would win the championship when the time is right, and should he fail to do so, he will just retire.

“When the time is right, I've said that before. I can guarantee you if I don't become AEW Champion, I'm going to probably retire. Not probably, I will retire if I don't become AEW Champion. Do you know what that means? That means I'm going to become AEW Champion.”

Right now, Miro is concerned with making sure that Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford have the best wedding on February 3 at AEW Beach Break. Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite every Wednesday.
