Mistico Not Cleared To Compete At AEW Redemption

Mistico was scheduled to compete at AEW Redemption.

Tony Khan stated on Twitter that Mistico was scheduled to compete at Redemption on Sunday, July 26. Khan noted that he was hoping to have the lucha star for television this week ahead of Redemption, and at Redemption.

Unfortunately, due to injuries suffered at Arena Mexico, he was not cleared to compete. Khan thought that the reigning CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion was in line for a shot at the International Title as he’s never been defeated in AEW.

Instead, a six-way ladder match will take place to crown a number one contender for the International Title. Fans can learn more about that match here.

Khan is hoping that Mistico will be ready to compete by AEW Grand Slam Mexico, which is scheduled for August 5.
