The Cardonas meet Mickie James and Nick Aldis in the multiverse.
It's been a tumultuous week for Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green as it relates to their relationship with Mickie James and Nick Aldis. At the 2022 Cricokett Cup, Chelsea cost Nick the NWA World Heavyweight Championship when she low-blowed special referee Jeff Jarrett during a match between Cardona and Aldis but it was actually Mickie James that took the blame leading to a victory for Matt Cardona.
Prior to this, Mickie James and Chelsea Green were actually friends on IMPACT Wrestling television. That ended when Chelsea faked her broken arm and cost Mickie James the Knockouts World Championship and then set her up for an attack by Matt Cardona. Now, these two teams of married couples will settle it in the ring during the Multiverse of Matches event taking place on Friday, April 1.
Revenge Is in the Air as Mickie James & Nick Aldis Battle Chelsea Green & Matt Cardona at Multiverse of Matches
Chelsea Green showed her true colors in the closing moments of the Knockouts World Title Street Fight between Tasha Steelz and Mickie James on IMPACT. After telling Green that she wanted to defeat Tasha on her own, Mickie asked her not to get involved in the matchup. When Savannah Evans inevitably attacked Mickie, Green made her way to the ring but instead of evening the odds, she did exactly what was asked of her – absolutely nothing. Green watched on as Evans destroyed Mickie, allowing Tasha to retain her Knockouts World Championship. After the bell, Green was joined by her husband, Digital Media Champion Matt Cardona, leading to a 2-on-1 assault. At Multiverse of Matches, revenge is in the air as Mickie James will be joined by her husband, NWA’s Nick Aldis, in a blockbuster tag team match against Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona!
