The Miz wants to bring to the WWE Championship what he brought to the Intercontinental Championship.
Recently, The Miz lost his contractually obligated rematch to Seth Rollins for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. While he had that championship, he insisted he had raised its prestige and now he wants to do the same thing for the WWE Championship. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, he spoke about his plans to win the Money in the Bank briefcase and the WWE Championship.
?My goal is to make the WWE championship as relevant and prestigious as it should be. Do I think AJ Styles is doing a terrific job as WWE champion? Absolutely," said The Miz. "I want to put that title back where it belongs: the main event," he later added.
The Miz won his match on Smackdown to qualify for the Money in a Bank ladder match. This will be his fourth appearance in one of those matches. In 2010, he won the briefcase and used it to become WWE Champion.
