The Miz Has Lost Nine Pounds While Training For 'Dancing With The Stars'

The Miz is set to make his "Dancing With The Stars" debut on Monday, September 20 when the 30th season of the show premieres on ABC.

Fans know The Miz as one of the top heels in WWE, but he is hoping the WWE fans support one of their own in voting for him.

"Here's the hard part about being on Dancing with the Stars: you need people to vote for you," The Miz said on 3News with Stephanie Haney. "The past 16 years, I have been the most egotistical, arrogant jerk on WWE. That is what my character is. He will cheat to win. So now I'm going to ask those people, 'hey, vote for me! I think people get it and my [USA Network reality show] 'Miz & Mrs,' I've been able to show my family, my insights of what it's like to be a WWE superstar, a husband, to be with my wife, to be with my children, so people have been able to see that side of me and now, I hope a broader audience of 'Dancing with the Stars,' maybe people who don't watch wrestling, don't watch WWE, maybe they'll tune in now because they saw me on 'Dancing with the Stars.' I hope to just show a little bit of Mike From Parma, Ohio."

The Miz also revealed that he's gotten in better shape while training for his dancing debut.

"I started this thing at 211 pounds. Two weeks later, I'm at like 202. I've already lost nine pounds. This is the lightest I've been since maybe I was 22 and on The Real World," he said.

Fans can watch The Miz on "Dancing With The Stars" beginning at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
