The Miz's new show on the USA Network has been announced.
The WWE star will host a show titled "Cannonball," which is a water-based sports competition show that will air on the network this summer. Miz will host the show alongside Emmy Award-winning television host Rosci Diaz and Simon Gibson.
I’m hosting the biggest water sports competition ever created. Between watching competitors performing extreme obstacles or laughing at the uncanny chemistry from @rocsidiaz @simeygibson & myself. The fun never stops #Cannonball premieres on @usa_network Summer 2020. pic.twitter.com/49omlqRdfS— The Miz (@mikethemiz) March 3, 2020
The Miz is no stranger to having shows on the USA Network as he and his family are the focal point of the "Miz & Mrs." reality show that is in the middle of airing its second season.
This isn't the first time a former WWE Champion has hosted a competitive television show. John Cena has hosted "American Grit" on FOX as well as the "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" revival on Nickelodeon. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also the host of NBC's "Titan Games," with the show being renewed for a second season months ago.
In regards to Miz's in-ring work with WWE, he is currently one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions alongside John Morrison after winning the titles at Super ShowDown. The duo will now have to defend their titles in an Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on March 8. Fightful will have live coverage of the show.
