Miz Isn't Defending The IC Title At SummerSlam, And He's Not Happy About It

It was announced via the following Tweet that Intercontinental Champion The Miz & his Miztourage of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel would be facing off with the team of Jason Jordan & The Hardys on the SummerSlam Kickoff Show.

Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka And Randy Orton vs. Braun Strowman Set For 4/19 WWE Raw

The booking of this match might just be a creative way of getting fan favorites The Hardy Boyz on the SummerSlam card, since their planned dance partners of the Revival are unable to fulfill their part of the bargain thanks to Scott Dawson's ruptured bicep.

But it also has the added effect of ensuring that The Intercontinental Title will not be defended at the second biggest Pay-Per-View of the year.

And The Miz, who has said very publicly on many occasions that he wants to return that championship to its former glory, is none too happy about it. And he blames Kurt Angle.

In kayfabe.

I'm like 80% sure.

He posted this on Instagram:

Since re-gaining the IC Title from Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules on June 4th, Miz has had just two televised title defenses, one against Heath Slater on RAW and Ambrose's rematch at Great Balls of Fire on July 9.
