One of the year's most talked about wrestling segments turned into a contract storyline for WWE, which has now been resolved.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Miz has held his title for over five months, most recently successfully defending the championship at Backlash against Dolph Ziggler. Before his match, however, he told Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan that he wanted to renegotiate his Smackdown contract.
According to WWE's Twitter, Daniel Bryan and The Miz have come to terms on a new deal, and Miz will remain on Tuesday's WWE program.
Miz and Daniel Bryan have feuded on and off from the beginning of Bryan's WWE career until after. Miz served as Bryan's 'pro' on NXT season 1, and the two competed in several matches. Last month on WWE Talking Smack, the Miz went off on Bryan for saying that he 'wrestled like a coward.'
Miz doesn't currently have an opponent set for WWE No Mercy, Smackdown's next special event.
