The Miz Remembers John Cena And R-Truth Nixing His Idea To Rap On WWE TV

Miz has been many things -- a WWE Superstar, a movie star, a reality TV star, a game show host -- rapper isn't among those.

On the new WWE series "Photo Shoot," Miz was shown a photo of former tag team partner and rapper R-Truth. Real name Ron Killings, Truth has had rapping gimmicks throughout his career. When Miz was paired with Truth, he got excited about spitting his own bars, and got proactive about it.

"I remember going up to R-Truth when we were tagging as the Awesome Truth and he had this song," Miz said. "I was like 'maybe I can do a remix to it.' I went up to him and wrote all these raps for the song. I press play on my phone and I started doing the rap. He's such a nice guy, saying 'that's really good!'"

However, the optimism was quickly shot down. Platinum-selling recording artist (and WWE Superstar) John Cena overheard everything and urged Killings to be honest with his partner.

"Cena was in the background signing something and he said 'Truth, tell him the truth.' And Truth said 'it's not good.' So we never got to do that. I was his hype man during the time we did the Awesome Truth," said Miz.
