MJF Becomes Longest Reigning AEW World Champion In Company History

MJF makes history.

On Wednesday, November 1, MJF officially became the longest-reigning AEW World Champion, hitting 347 days as champion.

MJF surpasses Kenny Omega, who held the belt for 346 days.

MJF won the title from Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2022 on November 19, 2022.

In his time as champion, MJF has made eight successful title defenses. He's defeated Adam Cole, Ricky Starks, Bryan Danielson in an Iron Man match, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Samoa Joe, Ethan Page, and Omega in singles competition. He also got the better of Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, and Jack Perry in a four-way bout.

His next title defense is slated to be against Jay White at AEW Full Gear 2023.
