MJF: Bryan Danielson Is A Sicko, So He Probably Will Wrestle Again
Danielson has not wrestled a full-length match since October 2024.
Three-time NFL Super Bowl Champion Julian Edelman welcomed AEW World Champion MJF onto his Games With Names podcast.
They covered the Iron Man match that MJF had with Bryan Danielson at the 2023 AEW Revolution pay-per-view. During the conversation, MJF was asked to give Danielson’s NFL comparison, and he said Tom Brady. MJF added that Danielson is ‘soft retired’ right now, but doesn’t know how long that will last because Danielson is a sicko.
“That’s like a Tom Brady-level. I would say he’s Tom Brady level. He’s definitely GOAT status. He’s like soft retired right now. I don’t know if he’ll ever come out of retirement. He’s a sicko so he probably will, because he can never get enough, much like Brady, and he’s definitely — if you talk to wrestling fans and you say, ‘Who’s one of the greatest wrestlers bell-to-bell, all-time, GOAT?’ They’ll say Dragon.”
Danielson has not wrestled a full-length match since October 2024, but he has made run-ins and gotten physical. He delivered a Busaiku Knee to Wheeler Yuta during the main event of AEW All In Texas.
In late 2025, Danielson shared that he was struggling with travel for his AEW commentary duties because of neck pain.
