One of the things that Max is most known for with regards to his abilities in the pro wrestling industry is his ability on the microphone, with several individual promos standing out from his time with AEW since 2019. In addition, MJF has been no stranger to vicious promo battles with some of the top stars on AEW’s roster.
While speaking to You Better You Bet in a new interview, MJF spoke about his promo abilities, noting that he would compare preparing a for a promo battle with him to preparing for a boxing match with Mike Tyson.
“I was born to do this, and I’m also such a student of the game, and you find your voice, and I found my voice. When I go through that curtain, I’m just being me. There are other guys, when they find out that they’re going to have to face me in any capacity, it’s not fun for them. Right? There’s no way to prepare for me. It’s no different than trying to prepare for Mike Tyson in a boxing match. All you can really do is just hope and pray to God you don’t get absolutely, you know, manhandled.”
