MJF Declines To Defend AEW World Title Against Brody King, Tells Him To Stack Up Wins Over ‘Elite Level Talent’

MJF and Brody King go toe-to-toe in the opening segment.

The show kicked off with an in-ring appearance from MJF, who trotted out to brag about his win over Bandido at AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage. MJF was eventually interrupted by Bandido’s tag team partner, Brody King.

King didn’t hide his feelings on Friedman, saying that he would love to stick his fist through his chest and rip out his spine. Knowing that he won’t get what he wants if he were to do that, King noted that he’d rather choke the life out of MJF before dropping him on his head and taking his title.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, MJF declined the match in sarcastic fashion, saying that King is all bark and no bite. Friedman followed that up by saying that King needs to beat a few elite level names before getting a crack at his AEW World Championship.
