MJF Def. Kenny Omega To Retain AEW World Championship At Dynasty PPV

MJF holds on to the gold.

Closing out the 2026 AEW Dynasty pay-per-view was MJF putting his AEW World Championship on the line against Kenny Omega.

It was MJF’s seventh defense of this current title reign, and one of the match highlights saw MJF execute a Cross Rhodes and a package piledriver back-to-back on Omega, but Omega kicked out.

There came a point when MJF sent Kenny into the ring ropes, and Omega rebounded and went for a V-Trigger, but MJF pulled referee Bryce Remsburg in front of it. MJF proceeded to low blow Omega.

MJF then went into Remsburg’s pockets and took back the Dynamite Diamond Ring that Remsburg had confiscated from MJF at the start of the match. While MJF and Omega were battling on the ring apron to put one another through the table below them, MJF pulled out the ring and punched Omega in the side of his stomach.

He then delivered a Tombstone Piledriver to Kenny through the table. MJF followed that up with a Heat Seeker to put Omega away and retain the championship.
