In the opening match of the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, MJF was able to successfully defend the ROH World Tag Team Championships against The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) in a two-on-one handicap match.
During a key moment in the match, MJF delivered a shocking body slam to Dutch, which in result send shockwaves throughout the Climate Pledge Arena and the entire city of Seattle, Washington.

On October 2, 2023, MJF took to social media and recalled the body slam, jokingly noting that he fractured all of his vertebrae while performing the move.
