Mercedes Mone On Tony Khan Getting Attacked On 4/24 AEW Dynamite: Say Hello To Your New CEO

“I did get to pick that guy’s brain and, as much as I dislike that bastard, let me tell you something – he definitely understands how to lead a faction, which is one of the main reasons why I wanted to get into that group and get into his inner circle,” Friedman said. “I wanted to learn from him, whilst also destroying his group, making sure that my group would be top honcho once I unveiled them to the world. Chris Jericho has an incredible professional wrestling mind, but unfortunately, he wasn’t smart enough to catch me. He did not catch the fox in the henhouse and that’s exactly what I am – I’m crazy like a fox in the best way possible.”

- Speaking with Sports Illustrated Adam Cole revealed he was never supposed to say his catchphrase at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III

“That whole night was so special,” Cole says. “Normally the introduction of a new and important wrestler to NXT was to see them in the audience. When I found out I was going to do something different, and start a new faction, that was so cool. I remember it being very nerve-racking, wondering if the audience would care. Fortunately, they did.”

“I had not planned to do my ‘Adam Cole, Bay-Bay!’ that night,” Cole says. “I remember getting to the top of the ramp, the crowd was cheering, and I said, ‘Screw it.’ I bent down, and everyone shouted it with me. That caught some eyes.

- Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Karrion Kross reflected on being Starstruck when he met Ric Flair.

“I am going to say Ric Flair. And I’ll tell you, I was a bodyguard for a very long time and I was working around celebrities in the nightclub industry many moons ago before I had anything to do with wrestling. I was around celebrities all the time, I was around professional athletes all the time, I grew up with a wrestling/ boxing family culture and we were in gyms, I never got starstruck by anybody. I was 16 years old, I met him in New York. He was at an autograph signing; something about making eye contact with Ric Flair and it was totally unexpected, I was like “I am gonna meet Ric Flair!” run up & boom I froze. And I was like starstruck is real. I couldn’t even talk. {laughs} I couldn’t believe it. And he just looked at me like he’s seen this a million times and he says, “How you doing kid?” {laughs}”
