On the January 14th edition of AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, Max is set to defend his AEW World Title for the first time since capturing it at AEW Worlds End last year. Bandido would earn the opportunity after he would capture the Dynamite Diamond Ring last year also, setting the two on a collision course for the special Maximum Carnage episode of AEW Dynamite.

In a new social media post on Tuesday morning, MJF would react to a video of Bandido training hard ahead of his upcoming world title match, stating his belief that he will defeat Bandido and retain his championship in just 1.5 minutes.

In addition to challenging for the AEW World Championship, Bandido is also the Ring Of Honor World Heavyweight Champion and is currently scheduled to also challenge for the CMLL World Middleweight Championship on a future date. You can read more about that here.

As mentioned, this will be Max’s first title defense in his second reign as AEW World Champion after he defeated Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Samoe Joe for the title at AEW Worlds End last month.
