MJF: People Will React To Me However They Want To; That's John Cena & Rock Sh*t, That's Megastar Sh*t

MJF is in his megastar era.

On Saturday, November 19, MJF will be wrestling in arguably the biggest match of his career, as he is set to take on Jon Moxley in an AEW World Championship match in the main event the Full Gear pay-per-view. This will be MJF's second crack at the belt, but this time around he seemingly has more fan support than ever before.

Since returning to the company in September, MJF has garnered more and more sympathy from the fans of AEW as he has seemingly become an antihero of some sorts. Although there is still a vocal portion of the crowd that is rooting for Jon Moxley to retain the world title at Full Gear, many fans are anticipating MJF to finally capture gold in AEW.

In a new interview with the New York Post, MJF talked about the reactions he's gotten from AEW crowds recently and how it feeds into his notion that he's a megastar.

"Being anything other than myself, fully authentically, doesn’t interest me. I am who I am. People will react to me the way they want to react to me. That’s megastar sh*t. That’s John Cena sh*t. That’s Rock sh*t. That’s [Hulk] Hogan sh*t. There were times in their career when they would come through that curtain and they got the loudest boo and there were times where they came through that curtain and they got the loudest cheer. That’s what I bring to the table. Think people need to stop worrying about fake bullsh*t labels and just enjoy this ride because I’m over as sh*t and it is fun.”

MJF went on to note that he doesn't believe in the idea of changing your presentation when you start to get different crowd reactions, saying that he is authentic.

Alongside MJF's world title match at Full Gear, the pay-per-view card also has four other title matches currently scheduled. To see the full card as it currently stands, click here.
