MJF Says Security Guard Pushed By Samoa Joe At NXT TakeOver Was Not Him

Back at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, a young man who looked much like MJF was shoved aside by Samoa Joe. The security guard was just trying to do his job, but Joe was having none of it.

On the August 12 episode of NXT Dynamite, MJF -- the actual MJF, not someone who looked like him -- recreated the moment, shoving a member of his campaign team as they tried to get in his shot.

Speaking to Inside The Ropes, MJF explained that the man at NXT was not him, but he appreciated the man for trying to do the job as Joe's security to the best of his ability.

"I don't know who that guy was. A lot of people think it was me, that was not me. It's fake news. I'll admit it, the guy did vaguely look like me, but I didn't see it to such an extent that everybody else did. That security guard, it seemed like he was trying to do his best job, protecting Joe, getting in front of him, the wall was closing in. If anything, I would have given that guy a raise, but that was not me," he said. "It wouldn't shock me (if my identity was stolen), a lot of people are trying to steal a lot of different things from me."

There you go. Who was the man Samoa Joe shoved at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II? The world may never know.

MJF had a chance to become AEW Champion at All Out, but was defeated by Jon Moxley. If you missed anything from AEW All Out, check out Fightful's report on the show by clicking here.
