On the Feud of the Year plaque, MJF taped over Punk's name and put his own.

CM Punk commented on the post, writing, "Maybe find some tape for the ratings so nobody sees those either."

Punk and MJF won Feud of the Year with 27%. They had two matches in 2022 with MJF winning on the February 2 episode of AEW Dynamite and CM Punk winning a dog collar match at AEW Revolution. MJF won Most Hated with 49% of the vote.

MJF is the reigning AEW World Champion while Punk won the AEW World Title at AEW All Out, but never defended it due to an injury and suspension for his role in an altercation with The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) after his press conference where he aired his grievances with them and others on the roster. It is unknown if Punk will return to AEW. He has been active on Instagram during his absence, recently touting his sales success in 2022.
