The Devil is champion.

MJF became the new AEW World Champion at AEW Full Gear, defeating Jon Moxley in the main event.

The finish saw Moxley force MJF to tap out with the bulldog choke, but the referee was down and didn't see the tap. As William Regal told Moxley to get the ref, he slipped MJF the brass knuckles. MJF laid out Moxley with the brass knuckles and pinned him for the victory.

Regal came down earlier in the match to yell at MJF when it looked as if he would use the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF tossed the ring aside and flipped off Regal.

This marks MJF's first reign with the AEW World Title. Moxley won the title in the finals of the Tournament of Champions at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, defeating Bryan Danielson. The title was vacated following AEW All Out when CM Punk suffered an injury and was suspended for his role in a locker room altercation with The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks). Moxley made two successful defenses for the AEW World Title.

MJF earned his shot at the AEW World Title by winning the Casino Ladder Match at AEW All Out. Stokely Hathaway grabbed the casino chip and presented it to "The Joker," who was revealed to be MJF at the end of the show. MJF made the decision to cash in the chip at AEW Full Gear on the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
