MJF: WWE Has Made The Choice To Be A Little Bit More Right Leaning. AEW Is Not Affiliated To Any Party

MJF speaks on the political associations of AEW and WWE.
Since WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump has begun his second term as President, WWE has shown association with him in various ways, most notably through Triple H and Stephanie McMahon making appearances at the White House.
Triple H is part of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition and Linda McMahon is part of Trump’s Cabinet as the United States Secretary of Education.
AEW has shied away from any association with any political party, with Tony Khan saying that the wrestlers are themselves and he supports that.
Speaking to Adam Friedland, MJF commented on the political differences between the two companies.
“We had a ‘Fuck ICE’ chant. What’s so cool about that is, in our company, our fans have a voice and in the other company, a lot of times, when fans curse or when they say something that they don’t want them to say, they just bleep it. They bleep the crowd entirely and they edit it out of the show or they’ll create fake crowd noise of it so you can’t hear the chants. I’ll also say, they’ve made a choice to be a little bit more right-leaning. Triple H has done a couple of speeches in the White House. Linda McMahon is in the cabinet. We are not affiliated to any party so anybody can feel comfortable going to our shows,” he said.
Brody King wore an “Abolish ICE” shirt on AEW TV in Mexico and received “Fuck ICE” chants during his match against MJF.
It should be noted that the views and associations of the company or those at the top of the company (any company, all companies) does not represent the views and associations of every wrestler in the company.
