MLSE Says Agreement With WWE Does Not Prevent Other Events, Specifically AEW, In MLSE Venues

On Wednesday, WWE announced a long-term strategic partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).

According to the press release, “The partnership will explore opportunities across multiple areas including exclusive merchandise collaborations, original content development, community-focused programs and regular cross-brand appearances from team players and WWE Superstars.”

MLSE owns Scotiabank Arena and OVO Athletic Centre. They also have investments in BMO Field, Coca-Cola Coliseum, Ford Performance Centre, and more.

TSN’s Steve Argintaru asked if MLSE’s new partnership with WWE would prevent AEW from running its venues.

MLSE stated that the partnership “does not prevent other events in our venues.”

AEW has run shows at Scotiabank Arena and Coca-Cola Coliseum in the past, most recently with AEW All Out 2025 taking place at Scotiabank Arena.
