MLW's Apr. 5 event will mark the return of their Battle Riot match, a 40-man no disqualification Royal Rumble type match with a new competitor entering every 60 seconds. Eliminations can occur via pinfall, submission, or by throwing your opponent over the top rope. The winner of Battle Riot receives an instant MLW World Title shot at a time of their choosing.

The first Battle Riot event was televised on July 27, 2018 and won by Tom Lawlor. Lawlor would go on to win the MLW World Title on February 2, 2019 at MLW Superfight. He will defend the title in a rematch against Low Ki this Saturday at MLW Intimidation Games.

Along with Battle Riot II on Apr. 5 at the Melrose Ballroom, MLW will hold a Rise of the Renegades television taping at the same venue the night before.
