MLW Fusion To Feature Caribbean Strap Match On 1/27, Baklei Brawl On 2/3, 'Filthy Island' On 2/17

Major League Wrestling announces two major stipulation fights set for the next two weeks of MLW Fusion.

First, Richard Holliday and Savio Vega look to settle their year-long vendetta in a match that will be very familiar to Savio Vega fans from his days in the World Wrestling Federation.

AEW Dynamite (11/6/24) Results: Orange Cassidy, Adam Cole, Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, And More Appear

On the January 20 episode of MLW Fusion, Savio Vega challenged Richard Holliday to a Caribbean Strap Match for the Caribbean Championship, which Richard has laid claim to for quite some time. In his response, Richard Holliday said he was advised by his lawyer/father to not sign the paperwork and to compete in this match but he had no fear.

During his days in the WWE, Savio Vega was featured in multiple Caribbean Strap bouts. Most famously, he faced “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at the May 1996 In Your House:Beware of Dog event in a match where he defeated Steve Austin and ended Ted DiBiase’s time as the manager of the future WWE Champion. Savio promised to use the very same strap from that match in his match against Richard Holliday.

The Caribbean Strap Match will take place on January 27.

The following week, Mads Krugger will once again face Alex Hammerstone fin what is being called a Baklei Brawl. This stems from their no contest championship match from Kings of Colosseum back on January 6.

In addition to all of that, Tom Lawlor will present “Filthy Island” on February 17th.

Fightful will have live coverage of MLW FUSION every Wednesday.
