Mil Muertes will get his chance to earn the Openweight Title belt from Alexander Hammerstone on April 14.
Major League Wrestling announced ahead of its Never Say Never event that in two weeks Alex Hammerstone will defend the National Openweight Championship belt against Mil Muertes.
Muertes, a former champion in Lucha Underground made his debut recently under the guidance of Salina de la Renta as part of Salina selling her Promociones Dorado group to Azteca Underground.
Muertes quickly targeted Hammerstone, who has held the National Championship longer than anyone to date, stealing the championship in an act of defiance.
Following a challenge from Hammerstone, the match has been set for April 14. That will also be the next episode of MLW FUSION as next week, Underground returns, showcasing the best of Major League competition from the past.
