Mojo Rawley Wants To Team With Rob Gronkowski At SummerSlam 2020 In Boston

Mojo Rawley still angling for a match with Rob Gronkowski.

Good friends Mojo Rawley and Rob Gronkowski have been teasing Gronkowski wrestling in WWE ever since the former New England Patriots tight end made an appearance at WrestleMania 33. Recently, Gronkowski cut a promo on Rawley, promising to "whoop his ass" in the ring. Not taking kindly to Gronk's words, Mojo shot back with a promo of his own.

Roman Reigns Withdraws From 2024 WWE Draft, Not Returning To WWE TV In The Immediate Future

"Sometimes, Rob says things he doesn't mean, like calling a guy a wimp when he knows that he can blatantly kick the crap out of him. These are just things that come out of his mouth that have no meaning. Robbie G been running around calling himself Mr. Recovery. Mojo Rawley will put that to the test when I stomp him the hell out. We'll see how CBD Medic is really treating him," Rawley joked with TMZ. "He's lost a little bit of weight, he's looking kinda slim, he looks like he should join our Cruiserweight division. There's a lot of competition there."

Putting aside the friendly rivalry, Mojo did suggest working a tag team match with Gronkowski at WWE SummerSlam 2020, which takes place in Boston.

"We've been talking about doing a tag match together for really long time. SummerSlam is in Boston next year. It's gonna be a huge event. That might be the one. Talking to Robbie G, I know he's been saying he wants to do a tag match, me and him versus whoever. We got some awesome tag teams in WWE. Whoever want it, can get it."

Gronkowski recently stated that he wouldn't want to work a full-time WWE schedule, but would love to do a "one-time, full-on" match. You can view his full comments by clicking here.
