Moose reflects on working with Oba Femi in WWE NXT, noting that he was always his first pick with regard to a TNA-WWE crossover.
Moose wrestled Oba Femi for the WWE NXT Championship at WWE NXT Roadblock at the theater in Madison Square Garden in March of last year, in a bout that took advantage of TNA and WWE’s working relationship.
While speaking to Rewind, Recap, Relive Moose reflected on working with Femi, noting that he was his first pick for a crossover match.
“Yeah, for sure. I told myself if I was ever going to do anything in NXT, he was definitely my first pick because we’re so much alike. I mean, we come from the same country. Like, he’s Nigerian, I’m Nigerian. You know what I’m saying? We have a lot in common. He’s a great individual, a great wrestler, very athletic, and saying people say the same about me. So, it was a match made in heaven, and it was a perfect match and rematch scenario.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Moose spoke about AJ Styles’ retirement from WWE. You can read more about that here.
