Moose Pushed For Joe Alonzo To Join TNA, Alonzo Says Maybe Things Can Go His Way Now That ‘Some People Aren’t There Anymore’
Moose and Joe Alonzo chat about TNA.
The latest episode of Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson’s Talk’n Shop podcast featured a dual interview with independent wrestler Joe Alonzo and TNA Wrestling’s Moose.
Moose shared that he’s been pushing for Alonzo to join TNA. Alonzo went on to state that maybe things can go his way now that some people are no longer with the promotion. Alonzo referenced the recently departed Tommy Dreamer while making his comments.
Gallows: “Are you with TNA now? We don’t know everything.”
Alonzo: “No.”
Moose: “I’ve been pushing him for TNA for the longest.”
Alonzo: “Like two years now?”
Moose: “Yeah.”
Alonzo: “I mean, I don’t know. We’ll see what happens. I mean, now that some people aren’t there anymore, maybe things can go my way.”
Gallows: “Shots fired here on Talk’n Shop.”
Alonzo: “I’m just saying. I don’t know.”
Moose: “Shots fired. What certain people you talking about?”
Alonzo: “A guy who’s wrestled in a t-shirt his whole entire –”
Gallows: “Aye! Hey! Hey! We don’t bury anyone on here.”
Alonzo shared that he was liked by former TNA Senior Vice President of Content, Distribution, and Marketing Ariel Shnerer. Shnerer was let go in 2025. Alonzo has done matches for their Xplosion show.
Alonzo added that TNA President Carlos Silva wanted him there, but ‘somebody else’ didn’t.
Alonzo: “I wrestled three times now at TNA.”
Moose: “I know you wrestled under Ariel (Shnerer) too, right?”
Alonzo: “Yeah, Ariel liked me too and then, story of my life, timing. Always. Ariel loved me… Every time I was there, I knocked it out of the park. Was never given a job or talked about anything else. Carlos (Silva) wanted me there but somebody else didn’t.”
Alonzo was formerly signed to the National Wrestling Alliance, where he held the World Junior Heavyweight Championship. He is currently the holder of the AAW Heavyweight Title.
