While this may be the last time we see the Dudley Boyz on Monday Night RAW, it may not be the last time we see them in general.
The Dudleyz said their goodbyes to the RAW crowd and it is not part of a storyline, as many would think. The Dudleyz are now considered free agents.
It was reported a while back that the tag team signed new deals with WWE. As it turns out, they had only agreed on the terms of a new contract, but not signed and executed. The two sides decided to part ways sometime in the past 7 days.
It was agreed that the former Tag Team Champions would finish up on last night's RAW and do the angle with The Shining Stars, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson that saw Gallows and Anderson beat down the Dudleyz. The angle was done to put some heel heat on Gallows and Anderson for ruining the big farewell, and to leave the door open for a potential match if The Dudleyz make a return.
Bubba and D-Von returned to the backstage area after the angle and the entire RAW roster, including officials and the McMahons, were waiting for them with a standing ovation.
The Dudleyz returned to WWE last summer and challenged for the Tag Team Titles shortly thereafter. They have been pushed down in the card in the following months and their last match was against Sami Zayn and Neville on the SummerSlam Kickoff show.
