For the 9/5 Collision, the company announced Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. The Swirl (Lee Johnson & Blake Christian). While the company billed this match as Motor City Machine Guns’ AEW debut, they had already worked for the promotion in 2022 at AEW All Out.
In July, the promotion announced their signing after they appeared on Collision. This was their first match after being signed.

In the end, Shelley and Sabin managed to defeat Johnson and Christian. Sabin got the pin on Christian with a pump handle slam.
