MSK Discuss Asking Sean Waltman To Use The Bronco Buster, Waltman Wanting Them To Lay It In

MSK has become one of the top acts in NXT since debuting in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, winning the tournament and then moving on to win the NXT Tag Team Titles.

The team has quickly caught the attention of fans with their double-team moves and overall diverse moveset. One move that is a blast from the past is the Bronco Buster, which was made famous by Sean "X-Pac" Waltman.

Speaking with Waltman on Pro Wrestling 4 Life, MSK discussed their usage of the move and asking for Waltman's permission.

"Funny story, the first time we met Sean Waltman, we came up to him and let him know that we do the Bronco Buster in honor of him and as a tribute," said Wes Lee. "He definitely voiced that he was honored and humbled that we would want to continue the life of the Bronco Buster. At the same time, he was like, 'look, I gotta do this tonight.' Completely understood."

Nash Carter added, "We asked if we could do it on the show with him and he was very honored."

Waltman gave his side, saying, "Here's how I picture it went for me, 'I'm honored and I appreciate that you guys want to do that as a tribute, but I've got like four or five moves and that's one of them.'"

All three men laughed before Wes said, "That's why we wanted to ask. If you would have said, 'Look, don't do my stuff at all,' we would have taken it out of our moveset. Respect is a big thing for us and that's one reason we work as hard as we do. We want the respect of our peers and fans. You're a veteran and a guy we look up to. If you said, 'No,' Alright, cool. The whole combination and sequence is called 'Make Some Noise' and we scream it like it's the start of your entrance."

Waltman then revealed that he hit up Nash to tell him to "lay it in more" and Nash said he was working on it.

The three men then discussed the possibility of competing as a trios team now that Waltman has gotten surgery and wants to do a handful of more matches. MSK already wears neon green and would want to use Waltman's entrance music, but Waltman said they'd have to talk to others before they went full D-X should they ever team.
