Muhammad Hassan wishes he could have been a champion in WWE.
Throughout his run on the main roster, Hassan faced off against top names like The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Shelton Benjamin.
Despite challenging for the Intercontinental Championship on multiple occasions, Hassan failed to win a title throughout his time with the company, only holding gold in OVW.
While speaking with the New York Post for a new interview, Hassan reflected on his stint with WWE, saying that it would've been nice to say that he was a former champion. Even then, the 45-year-old is past that point, saying it took him years to get past the what-if situations.
“It would have been nice to be able to say that I was a former WWE champion. It would have been nice. And you can spend a lot of time getting lost in the what-ifs because, believe me, I have. It took me years and years and years to finally feel like I’ve worked past it. However, it’s not lost on me that the last 20 years of my life could also have looked very different if my [wrestling] career continued.”
Hassan's 'Dark Side Of The Ring' episode will air on Tuesday, May 27.
