Mustafa Ali Expresses That It Will Not Be Easy For Him To Watch WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match

Ali says he will be back and he when he does, he's not stopping for anybody.

Fightful's own Sean Ross Sapp reported the news earlier last week that SmackDown Live star Mustafa Ali was being taken out of the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match at tonight's 'Elimination Chamber' pay-per-view. Mustafa Ali was already working through a tailbone injury and another injury was tagged onto that when he took a boot to the face from Randy Orton on SmackDown Live. Ali was not medically cleared and filling him for him in the Chamber match is Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston lasted an hour in the Gauntlet match this past Tuesday on SmackDown and was met with an abundance of congratulation messages from his peers including Mustafa Ali. Ali took to Twitter today and released one of his signature promo videos that are shot by his friend Craig Mitchell. Ali stated that he has nothing but respect for Kofi but it will not be easy to watch someone else in his spot again. He added that he will be back and when he does get back, no one will be able to get in his way.

“The most painful part about this week hasn’t been the injuries. It’s been watching. As an opportunity that I’ve chased my entire life gets pried out of my hands, and there’s nothing I can do. Listen, I’ve got all the love in the world for Kofi Kingston. Nothing but respect for him and that performance from the gauntlet match. But watching that wasn’t easy. It’s not easy to watch someone take your spot. It’s not easy to live with all those what if questions that kept popping in my head." He said. "Just like it’s not gonna be easy to watch the Elimination Chamber tonight. It’s not gonna be easy to watch someone take my spot again. Battling those what ifs again. But that’s alright. Life ain’t easy for those who dream so that’s alright. I’m gonna fix myself up. I’m gonna get cleared. I’m gonna get back into that ring and it doesn't matter who’s standing across from me -- I’m gonna square up with them and I’m gonna look dead in their eyes and I’m gonna tell them, ‘You can try to put me down but I promise, you will not keep me down’. So yeah, it ain’t gonna be easy, but it will be done.”

WWE hosted an 'Elimination Chamber' episode of WWE Now and that episode can be viewed by heading over to Fightful's "videos" section.
