MVP doesn't know why Vince McMahon chose to split The Hurt Business and he's not going to waste time dwelling on the past.
The Hurt Business, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, Bobby Lashley, and MVP ran roughshod over WWE Raw during the global pandemic.
Unfortunately, a decision was made shortly before WrestleMania 37 to split the foursome, with Bobby Lashley attacking Cedric and Shelton. A year later, MVP would also separate himself from Lashley.
Speaking on an episode of Superstar Crossover with Z100's Josh Martinez, MVP said the decision to split the group was a Vince McMahon call, and he doesn't waste time with the what-if of it all.
"Vince McMahon makes decisions. That’s way above my pay grade," said MVP. "It was a decision that he made. Why he chose to do it? I have no idea, but it was his choice. He’s the boss — well, at the time, he was the boss, and that’s just how things go. We were all scratching our heads, but at the end of the day, I’m doing my best to try to get the team back together. Bobby’s being a little stubborn. I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me, and I’m trying to get Bobby to come around. So, we’ll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business."
Elsewhere in this interview, MVP spoke about dream matches for a reunited Hurt Business, including pairing off with The Bloodline. Fans can read more here.
