MVP: "I've Been Giving Bobby Lashley A Little Insight On Life In A Cell"

MVP is helping prepare Bobby Lashley for his Hell In A Cell Match.

Lashley will be defending his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre inside the unforgiving structure on Sunday, June 20, capping off a feud that has been intensifying ever since Elimination Chamber. If Lashley is successful at Hell In A Cell, McIntyre will not be allowed to challenge for the belt so long as Bobby holds the title.

MVP joined The Bump ahead of the show, in place of Lashley, and revealed that he has been training with the Champion. He even said that he is using some of his past life experiences to give Lashley a little bit of insight into life inside a cell.

"I've been training with Bobby," said MVP. "Bobby's getting ready for this cell. Not that he needs any help for me because the man literally trains every single day, and that's not an exaggeration. People talk about, 'Oh, I'm Mr. No Days Off.' No, legitimately, Bobby Lashley is no days off. I've been training with him because everyone keeps talking about, 'Oh, he's never been in a cell before. He's never been in Hell In A Cell.' Well, I've been in lots of cells. Very brutal ones. So I've been giving Bobby a little insight on life in a cell if you will. Let's not forget that Bobby Lashley has beaten Drew McIntyre everywhere. Drew McIntyre says, 'I'll see you in Hell,' and Bobby said, 'And I'll beat you there also.'"

Before training to become a professional wrestler, MVP did serve a prolonged sentence in prison from 1991, when he was just 16 years old, until mid-1999.

Tonight's match will be the second Hell In A Cell match of Drew McIntyre's career. He previously lost the WWE Championship to Randy Orton at the 2020 installment of the event.
