MVP On Whether He's Retired: I Got A Little Bit Left In Me

MVP might not have "a lot left in the tank," but he has some.

Montel Vontavious Porter is a former United States Heavyweight Champion. He's the current mouthpiece of The Hurt Syndicate in AEW and he also happens to be one of the sharpest dressed men in wrestling, on a consistent basis. And while he's in no hurry to trade in his three-piece suit for his wrestling singlet, he's not ruling out the idea, either.

That's what MVP recently told Chris Van Vliet, when The Hurt Syndicate appeared on the Chris Van Vliet Show. When MVP was asked if he has retired from the ring, he answered in the resounding negative.

“No, not yet. I got a little bit left in me. It’s funny. We did a six-man about a month ago now, give or take, and they were teasing me because I was actually in there for a little while, and it felt good. It was coming back to me, and Shelton said, ‘Are you ever gonna tag out?’ I’m like oh yeah, maybe I should,” MVP said.

According to Cage Match, MVP's last match was against Vinnie Massaro at BTW/West Coast Pro Battle of the Bay; a match that he won. MVP also actually competed with The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) to defeat Mark Brisco and Private Party at AEW Dynamite Maxium Carnage, back in January.

MVP and the rest of The Hurt Syndicate spoke on a number of different subjects with CVV, including getting "knocked out" by Evander Holyfield. To read more about that, click here. Fans can also read about whether Cedric Alexander will join The Hurt Syndicate in AEW, by clicking here.
