Naomi Gives Update On Her Injury Status; See Video Of When The Injury Likely Occurred

When Naomi was forced to relinquish her SmackDown Women's Title on Tuesday night, we knew her knee injury wasn't just a storyline angle and it must have been more serious that originally thought.

Now Naomi has given her fans an update on her injury status via a post to her instagram.

She wrote:

"I damn near blew out my mcl and every muscle from my calf to hamstring I'm just thankful it wasn't worse..."

Here is the post, which shows Naomi doing rehab exercises:

A report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says that Naomi's left knee was injured during the finish of her Championship Victory over Alexa Bliss at The Elimination Chamber PPV. If you watch this clip you can see her left knee hyperextend as it comes into contact with Bliss's hip.

The WWE believed that Naomi would be able to return to action this week but as Naomi described in her Instagram post, it was more serious than originally thought.

There is still hope that Naomi might be able to make it back before WrestleMania 33, which is in her hometown of Orlando, but it looks like the total rehab time is expected to be closer to two months.
