Natalya Says Owen Hart Would Have Went On To Win A World Championship If He Hadn't Passed Away

Natalya says that Owen Hart would have went on to win a world championship if his life wasn't tragically cut short in 1999.

Before his tragic death in 1999, Owen Hart was one of the most popular stars in the WWF. Throughout his stint with the company, Hart won the WWF European Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, and the World Tag Team Championships on numerous different occasions.

At the time of his death, Hart was not only one of the most popular stars in the company, but was considered by many to be one of the best performers in the world.

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Natalya, Hart's niece, was asked to give her opinion on if Hart would have went on to win a world title if his career and life had not been cut short.

“Yes, I do. I think Owen on par, you know I think it’s funny because I always felt like Bret was more serious and Owen wanted to have fun, but Owen had this character where I look at Dominik’s character in WWE and I see little shades of Owen, that little mischievous side in Dom. But I think Owen would have definitely won a World Heavyweight Championship. Owen, he just won in so many other different ways and in so many different things that people just never go to see. When he would have two days at home, he would go home and like go to a children’s hospital and visit sick kids on his days off with no cameras around, no Twitter, no media attention. [It was] something he did privately. He helped so many people in our family, he was very unsung. He was an unbelievable person.”

During his stint in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Owen Hart won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. Later on in his career, Hart also won the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship.

In November 2022, Tony Khan confirmed that AEW would be holding the Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament for the second time in 2023. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
