Natalya Talking Women's Tag Titles: "I’d Ask Beth Phoenix In A Heartbeat To Be My Tag Team Partner"

Natalya has two people who she'd like to chase the Women's Tag Titles with.

Former SmackDown Live Women's Champion Natalya competed in the second-ever Women's Royal Rumble match last night and although she did not secure herself a singles championship match at WrestleMania 35, she has an history-making accolade in her sights and that is to become one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Nattie talked about that possibility in her latest blog post for the Calgary Sun and talked about the teams who are currently in WWE's women's division along with the WWE Hall Of Famer who she'd like to capture the titles with.

Shad Khan Appears On 4/24 AEW Dynamite To Check On His Son

(Here's an excerpt from the blog post):

When WWE announced that the women’s division will be getting Tag Team Championships, I don’t think there was a girl in the locker room who wasn’t totally pumped. If we didn’t have a tag team partner, our heads were swiveling in that locker room looking to make a friend.  You have the potential tag teams of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, Sasha Banks and Bayley, Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka, The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan), Mickie James and Alicia Fox, and the list goes on. Just because Ronda Rousey holds the Raw Women’s Championship doesn’t mean she can’t be my tag team partner and we can’t go for the tag titles together. Hey Ronda! I think we make a pretty fierce team!

If I could bring back a woman from the past, I’d ask Beth Phoenix in a heartbeat to be my tag team partner, as there is no woman who knows her stuff in the ring better than the Glamazon. After all, she is a WWE Hall Of Famer!

I’d like to also add that tag teams are in my blood! After all, my dad Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart was part of one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history – The Hart Foundation. My uncle Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid were also arguably one of the best teams ever, and in my opinion future Hall of Famers for sure.  If you were to watch any of the British Bulldogs’ matches against the Hart Foundation, it was lightning in a bottle, with incredible tag team competition that was ahead of its time. Bret Hart said that he loved the dynamic with my dad who was the “tank” while the Hitman was the “Porsche.” My dad has said his favorite tag teams to compete against in his prime were The British Bulldogs, Demolition and The Rockers.

The second installment of Women's Tag Team Championships in WWE will find their new owners come the 'Elimination Chamber' pay-per-view on February 17th where six teams will compete inside of the Elimination Chamber to determine the new champions.
