New Day: Cesaro Is Essentially A Member Of The Group

Since Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E came together in 2014, Cesaro has always been by their side.

Not as a fourth member -- that honor belongs to Francesca -- but as their enemy. When New Day officially turned heel, Cesaro was in the back. When New Day's longest tag team title run ended, Cesaro was in the back. WrestleMania matches? Cesaro was in the back.

"Cesaro is essentially a member of the New Day. Any monumental thing that's happening with  The New Day. I'd say 80% of them, if not more, involve Cesaro," said Xavier Woods on New Day: Feel The Power.

Big E added, "We started with Cesaro and Kidd. Then we wrestled The Bar. We are also wrestling Cesaro and [Shinsuke Nakamura], recently. I feel like several incarnations of Cesaro along the way. Remember we had to establish our friendship to get us all on-screen to piecemeal this thing together because we knew the three of us wanted to be in a group and we had to establish [Kofi] and I were friends? Cesaro was there for that when we were just trying to get off the ground. "

Kofi also said that he was feuding with Cesaro over the United States Title before New Day.

After noting that Cesaro was part of the duo, along with Sheamus, that broke New Day's tag team title reign, Xavier said, "Anybody that would have beaten us for [the tag titles], I've very glad that Cesaro was involved."

New Day previously credited Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya for getting them over as heels during the double turn in 2015. You can view their full comments by clicking here.
